Scope Of Work
The University of North Texas’s (UNT) new academic building will be the flagship of its new, 100-acre campus in Frisco, Texas. To support UNT’s goal of producing work-ready graduates, UNT at Frisco partnered with local businesses, including the Frisco-headquartered Dallas Cowboys, to provide students with hands-on learning opportunities and to ensure students graduate with the skills necessary to compete for the best jobs. The 142,000 SF building will house a variety of classrooms, study and social spaces, and collaborative spaces to educate and train students in state-of-the-art interactive spaces. It will feature high-end materials, including 45,000 SF of polished terrazzo flooring, 30,000 SF of slatted wood ceilings, and 13 different types of ceilings, as well as extensive audio/visual equipment in all the classrooms and collaborative spaces. The campus will feature new utilities to support the building and future campus growth, a 200-space surface parking lot, and a 125-foot monumental bell tower, which includes channel-set glass and integrated lighting. The project will be completed in the fall of 2022.
