Scope Of Work
Description: IMR provided Construction Management, Quality Control and Inspections Services for the Second Floor Gym Rehab of the Broward Health hospital facility required an update to its kitchen and bathrooms to help its patients better adjust to their “real life” physical therapy needs. Both areas were remodeled to meet the ADA requirements for access to sinks, cabinets, easy grip cabinet door handles, countertops, stove, refrigerator, faucets, toilets, shower, mirrors, handrails, etc. The two bathrooms were remodeled one at a time to allow continued daily patient use. Installing the new bathroom design provided a mild challenge to work with the existing structural and mechanical conditions and still comply with ADA requirements. The finished product provided a completed bathtub, shower and toilet facility that reflected the new standard for the hospital throughout. To avoid disturbing those that were receiving physical therapy, all work was performed on nights and weekends.
