Scope Of Work
The new pavillion at Jim Miller Park needed epoxy quartz flooring in their bathrooms. Otherwise known as "ceramic carpet", this floor is very strong and resilient. It is made up of multiple coats of epoxy and colored quartz sands. It is sanded and then top coated with a chemical resistant urethane coating. You find these floors in commercial bathrooms and kitchens.
The cove base is formed with an epoxy/quartz slurry which is troweled onto the wall once cove strips have been installed. The formed epoxy quartz cove base is installed ahead of the rest of the floor. Once the floor is installed, it becomes a monolithic floor where the wall can be washed with the water washing down the floor, over the cove and onto the floor.
