Scope Of Work
Yates Construction and our joint venture partner provided construction s for Mississippi’s first automotive manufacturing facility. This two phase project totaling 3.3 million SF consists of three buildings that perform metal parts stamping, robotic welding of the entire sheet metal body, and then final vehicle assembly. In total, 18,000 tons of structural steel, 90,000 cubic yards of reinforced concrete, 18,000 tons of air conditioning, and 2 million linear feet of electrical conductor were installed. The project’s scope also included equipment pits, a primary switch gear, a water tank, utility trestles, a process tank farm, and caisson foundations for all presses and production conveyors.
