Preserving History and Building the Future: Our Work on The Theodore Roosevelt Sanctuary and Audubon Center
We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of our exterior painting project at The Theodore Roosevelt Sanctuary and Audubon Center. This project beautifully blended the charm of historic restoration with the precision of new construction, showcasing our team’s versatility and dedication to excellence.
Project Scope:
New Construction:
Comprehensive Interior and Exterior Work: Our team meticulously handled all painting tasks for the new construction areas. This included priming and painting all interior and exterior walls and ceilings, ensuring a flawless and cohesive finish throughout the newly constructed sections of the sanctuary.
Historic Restoration:
Restoring Charm: We took great care in restoring the historic building’s original charm. The process began with power washing to clean and prepare the surfaces, followed by hand scraping all exterior walls, windows, and soffits to remove old paint and ensure a smooth base.
Repairs and Preparations: Necessary repairs were conducted to address any structural issues, ensuring the building’s integrity and readiness for painting.
Premium Paint Application: To honor the historic character while providing durable protection, we applied two coats of primer followed by teal coast exterior paint from Benjamin Moore. This not only revitalized the building’s appearance but also offered long-lasting resilience against the elements.
