Scope Of Work
This project includes an existing warehouse previously occupied by Freeman Motors. The building is approximately 10,000sf and will be converted into a collaborative workspace/work-out area/ lounge kitchen. ecoREAL will implement their GBIM software to track and verify healthy building materials. For energy efficiency, the energy model will assess the performance of various R-values for insulating the roof, walls, and floors. This energy model will also take into consideration several glazing options for the project.
The goals of the project are to find ways to optimize the existing building structure and site to maximize energy saving opportunities, and retrofit the space to work cohesively with the passive and mechanical systems in order to achieve Net Zero energy use. ecoREAL will look to accomplish this goal by focusing on water heating & conservation, lighting, ventilation, renewable energy strategies, HVAC systems, energy management, and building materials used in the project. To meet the Net Zero goal, it is essential for these systems to work together holistically in order to minimize energy loss.
