Scope Of Work

Our firm has been selected to transform this former multi-tenant office building into a premier medical campus for NYU Langone’s growing health care practices.   As individual units become available, Eastman Cooke has partnered with NYU Langone and the building owners to make this seamless conversion from corporate office space to exam rooms, consultation rooms X-ray and phlebotomy laboratories, patient reception areas and staff lounges.

This project included a full demolition and fit-out to create a new medical suite in an existing 20,000 sq-ft. space. We added steel dunnage to the roof for a future cooling tower, as well as a structural steel and Unistrut support system for the suite’s X-ray unit. The Eastman Cooke team installed high-end Armstrong wood ceilings, Xorel fabric wall coverings, solid surface countertops at nursing stations and translucent ceiling tiles in the patient waiting room.

We accommodated the client’s request to accelerate this project for an earlier open date by completing the project in two phases. One half of the floor remained open while the other half was built out. This fast-track project required a great deal of coordination and careful consideration for building occupants, including staff, medical patients, other tenants and building management. There were also several long-lead items that were considered and built into the schedule.
