Scope Of Work
Anchor designed and constructed this full-size automated storage and retrieval system in Indianapolis, IN. At the time of construction, it was only the second one to be built in the state of Indiana. The 104' tall rack supported structure features 13 highspeed cranes servicing 58,000 full-size pallet locations and sits on a slab that is 36" thick. The ASRS is attached to the client's existing warehouse and feeds product into the warehouse via computer controlled conveyor systems. Anchor worked with the client and the city of Indianapolis to design and build a structure that is an asset both to the client and the community. Subsequent to the completion of this building, a 240 ft. bridge was designed and installed to span an active truck court and connect an adjoining warehouse. The bridge contains conveyor systems from the ASRS facility to transfer product to the warehouse for order fulfillment, packaging, and shipping.
