Curtis Lu's Bio
Curtis Lu serves as FTI Consulting’s General Counsel and is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. Mr. Lu is responsible for all FTI Consulting legal affairs and has over 25 years as a law firm partner and in senior in-house positions. He is based out of the Company’s executive headquarters in Washington, D.C.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting in 2015, Mr. Lu held senior in-house legal positions in the communications, media, financial services, and digital industries.
From 2010 to 2015, Mr. Lu served as General Counsel at LightSquared (now known as Ligado Networks). From 2009 to 2010, Mr. Lu was the Senior Vice President, Deputy General Counsel and Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer for Time Warner, Inc. From 2006 to 2009, Mr. Lu served as the Senior Vice President and Principal Deputy General Counsel and Acting General Counsel for the Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae). From 2002 to 2006, Mr. Lu was Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel and Acting General Counsel for America Online, Inc. (AOL).
Mr. Lu began his legal career at Latham & Watkins, where he was a litigation partner. Mr. Lu served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Thomas A. Clark of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and was a Teaching Fellow at Stanford Law School.
Mr. Lu earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and obtained his J.D. from Harvard Law School. He currently serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Asian Pacific American Legal Resource Center and a member of the Board of Directors of D.C. Law Students in Court.
Ajay Sabherwal's Bio
Ajay Sabherwal is FTI Consulting’s Chief Financial Officer and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. Mr. Sabherwal is responsible for all of the Company’s finance functions and is based out of the firm’s executive headquarters in Washington, D.C.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Sabherwal served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of FairPoint Communications, Inc., a leading provider of telecommunications services primarily in Northern New England from 2010 to 2016. Mr. Sabherwal joined FairPoint Communications, shortly after the Company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. In January 2011, following the culmination of a financial restructuring process where FTI Consulting represented the creditors, FairPoint Communications emerged from bankruptcy and was relisted on the NASDAQ. Under Mr. Sabherwal’s leadership, FairPoint Communications completed a fundamental transformation including improved cash management and a successful debt refinancing, among other initiatives led by Mr. Sabherwal.
Prior to FairPoint Communications, from 2009 to 2010, Mr. Sabherwal served as Chief Financial Officer of Mendel Biotechnology, Inc., a biotechnology company that was acquired by Koch Industries in 2014. From 2005 to 2009, Mr. Sabherwal served as Chief Financial Officer of Aventine Renewable Energy, Inc., a bioethanol production and marketing company that completed an initial public offering on the NYSE in 2006.
Prior to these roles, Mr. Sabherwal served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Choice One Communications, Inc., from 1999 to 2005. During his time at Choice One Communications, Mr. Sabherwal raised $1 billion in equity, preferred equity and senior and subordinated debt, and took the Company public on the NASDAQ in 2000. During Mr. Sabherwal’s six years with Choice One Communications, the Company completed several acquisitions and annual revenues grew from less than $3 million to over $300 million. As Chief Financial Officer of Choice One Communications, Mr. Sabherwal also led the financial restructuring of its debt through a Chapter 11.
Before serving as both a public and private company Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Sabherwal held numerous business planning, consulting and equity analyst roles in the telecommunications industry. From 1996 to 1999, he served as Executive Director of Institutional Equity Research at Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (“CIBC”) World Markets, Inc. Prior to joining CIBC World Markets, he served as a telecommunications analyst for Barclays de Zoete Wedd (“BZW”) Canada from 1993 to 1996. Mr. Sabherwal has also held positions at CNCP Telecommunications, Deloitte and Louis Dreyfus Trading Limited (UK).
Mr. Sabherwal currently serves as a director and Chair of the Audit Committee at Lone Pine Resources Canada, Ltd., an independent oil and gas exploration, development and production company based in Calgary, Canada, and is an adjunct faculty member at the McColl School of Business at Queens University of Charlotte, North Carolina where he has taught Investment Analysis and Macroeconomics.
Mr. Sabherwal received a master's degree in economics and a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology & Science in Pilani, India. He also holds a master's degree in business administration from the Manchester Business School in the UK.
Matthew Pachman's Bio
Matthew Pachman serves as Vice President, Chief Risk and Compliance Officer at FTI Consulting. Mr. Pachman is responsible for overseeing the firm’s ethics and compliance programs globally. He also oversees all aspects of the Company’s risk management and compliance functions.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting in 2012, Mr. Pachman served as the Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer at Altegrity, Inc., a position he held since 2010. Between 2004 and 2010, Mr. Pachman served as the Vice President of Compliance, Ethics and Business Practices at Freddie Mac. Previously, Mr. Pachman served as Chief Ethics Officer at MCI Inc. after being appointed to that position by the General Counsel in August 2002 following the revelation of fraud by former WorldCom executives. Prior to that appointment, Mr. Pachman served in several positions within MCI WorldCom's Law and Public Policy group.
Before joining MCI Inc., Mr. Pachman was a lawyer in the Washington, D.C. office of the law firm O'Melveny & Myers, and served as a law clerk to the Honorable Karen LeCraft Henderson of the United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit.
Mr. Pachman earned a Juris Doctorate degree in 1991 from the University of Virginia where he was on the law review, and was a 1986 graduate of Wesleyan University, where he received a B.A. in English.
Mr. Pachman recently served as the Chair of the Ethics & Compliance Association (“ECA”) and as a Director of the Ethics Resource Center (“ERC”).
In 2019, Mr. Pachman received Compliance Week’s Top Minds Award. He was named a “Top Ethics and Compliance Officer” by the Ethisphere Institute on its on its 2009, 2010 and 2011 Attorneys Who Matter list, which recognizes leading legal professionals who have excelled in and made a significant contribution to the corporate compliance space. He is also a frequent speaker on issues related to building and managing ethics and compliance programs.
Paul Linton's Bio
Paul Linton serves as FTI Consulting’s Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer and is based out of the Company’s executive headquarters in Washington, D.C. Mr. Linton is responsible for supporting FTI Consulting’s business segments as they develop and drive their near-term and medium-term agendas.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Linton served as a Partner and Managing Director at The Boston Consulting Group, Inc. ("BCG"). He brings 14 years of strategy, operations, organization and large-scale transformation experience to FTI Consulting. Mr. Linton has worked closely with executive management teams of numerous large, multi-national corporations to help them formulate their transformation agendas and then partner shoulder-to-shoulder to deliver lasting change. In addition to client service, Mr. Linton led professional recruiting for BCG's Washington, D.C. office and helped drive BCG's diversity recruiting and retention efforts in North America.
Mr. Linton began his career as an Electrical Engineer with Motorola, Inc., where he was responsible for developing microprocessors for personal computers and for designing and deploying digital wireless infrastructure systems.
Mr. Linton earned his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida and received his MBA with distinction from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.
Steven H. Gunby's Bio
Steven H. Gunby is President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of FTI Consulting (FCN). Mr. Gunby joined FTI Consulting on January 20, 2014.
Mr. Gunby joined FTI Consulting as President and CEO following a 30-year career at The Boston Consulting Group, Inc. (BCG) where he most recently ran the firm's global Transformation and Large Scale Change Practice, leading and generating some of the firm’s largest and most significant client relationships. Previously at BCG, he served as the Chairman of North and South America where he helped triple the region's revenues, increased recruiting and fostered people development initiatives.
Throughout his career, Mr. Gunby has helped clients drive change in performance in their organizations via fundamental shifts in strategy, operations, processes, organizational structure and culture.
Mr. Gunby is a graduate of the Yale Law School where he was an editor of the Law Review, as well as the Yale School of Management and Cornell University.

Jeffrey S. Amling's Bio
Mr. Amling is FTI Consulting’s Head of Corporate Business Development. He is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee.
Mr. Amling leads the M&A function at FTI Consulting and also focuses on the coverage of selected Financial Sponsors, Sovereign Funds and Investment Banks.
Mr. Amling joined FTI Consulting from Deutsche Bank in 2008, where he was a Managing Director in the Media and Telecom Investment Banking group and a Vice Chairman in Corporate Finance. He began his Investment Banking career with Alex Brown in 1983 and founded its Media Investment Banking practice in 1990, a group which he led until 2003.
Mr. Amling’s clients included Clear Channel, Radio One, Entercom, Lamar Outdoor, Infinity/CBS/Viacom, Cumulus Media/Cumulus Media Partners, Emmis, Warner Music, Universal Outdoor, Sinclair Broadcast Group, Evergreen/Chancellor, Heftel/Hispanic Broadcasting and Univision, to name a few.
Mr. Amling is a 1976 High Honors Economics graduate of the University of Virginia and received his Law Degree from the University of Maryland in 1981 – Law Review. He is a member of the Board of Trustees and serves as Treasurer for the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame in Saratoga Springs. Mr. Amling also serves as a member of the Town of Palm Beach Retirement Board of Trustees.

Holly Paul's Bio
Holly Paul serves as FTI Consulting’s Chief Human Resources Officer and is based out of the Company’s executive headquarters in Washington, D.C. Ms. Paul leads the efforts to attract, engage, hire, develop and retain FTI Consulting’s leading professionals. In her role, Ms. Paul is responsible for overseeing all areas of human capital including talent acquisition, talent management, learning and development, workforce planning, compensation and benefits.
Experience
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Ms. Paul served as Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Vocus, Inc., a high growth marketing and public relations software company. In this role, Ms. Paul worked directly for the Chief Executive Officer and closely with the executive team and board of directors to develop the Company’s people strategy and led the execution of all employee initiatives including executive team recruitment, compensation and talent management.
Ms. Paul began her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers (“PwC”) in 1994 after being initially recruited as a Certified Public Accountant. During her nearly 20-year tenure with PwC, Ms. Paul held various human resources roles, ultimately rising to become one of the firm’s most senior talent acquisition specialists, responsible for all of the senior talent acquisition in the United States and had additional international remit covering geographies such as China and the Middle East.
