Scope Of Work

A North Carolina coal-fired steam plant needed to find a reliable solution to mitigate dust migration at a site complex, as they were having issues associated with fugitive dusting from a gypsum stockpile. Mesa performed a 3D laser scan of the site and collaborated with the building supplier and foundation contractor to optimize the building layout, considering the unique site constraints and based on the material handling operational requirements. A 40,000 sf metal building was designed to house the stockpile, using the maximum amount of usable area, and was supported on a cast-in-place concrete foundation with an integrated cantilevered push wall.  A concrete truck loadout apron was also provided adjacent to the existing truck scale.
