Scope Of Work
PJ Dick provided Design-Build services for this new correctional facility for the Maryland Correctional Pre-Release System at Jessup, Anne Arundel County, Maryland.
The project includes functions of housing, administration, security, education, food services, visiting and support for approximately 560 inmates. The total two compound 1,120-bed minimum security facility will be constructed in two phases.
The first phase provided a new East Compound which includes two two-story, 280 bed housing units, one story support services building, a recreation yard, perimeter fence system with sally port and entrance security post, access roads and parking area, totaling approx. 159,000 gross sf of building area. Site work inclufing grading, storm water management system and off-site utilities for both compounds is also included in Phase I.
The building features visitor, pharmacy and administration areas as well as a kitchen and dining areas.
The facility also has a goal to obtain LEED Silver certification.
