Scope Of Work
PJ Dick provided General Construction services for a new crime lab for the Maryland State Police on a 10.8 acre site. The 68,700 sf facility includes space for evidence storage, laboratory spaces for biology (DNA), chemistry, firearms, latent prints and questioned documents analysis, a complete photography lab, and administrative space. The facility also contains a research and development lab combined with a classroom. The building is designed to allow for 100% expansion of the lab spaces. Scope of work also included a telephone system, computer cabling, provisions for a future video testimony system, and increased security components deemed necessary by the Homeland Security Act.
