The following is a general description of the project:
Demolition of existing decant tank, lime silo and associated equipment; equipment and equipment pads in the vicinity of the existing Dewatering Building; and demolition of existing belt filter presses and associated dewatering equipment in the Dewatering Building
New gravity sludge thickener and distribution box
Providing piping modifications required for separate thickening of primary and waste-activated sludge
Equipment removal, new pumps, and piping and electrical improvements in the existing Gravity Sludge Thickener Pumping Station
New vehicle entrance with paving, fencing, and gate to Edgewood Road from the water reclamation facility near the Dewatering Building
All new underground yard piping, under the new slab piping in Building 250 and above ground piping systems
Underground piping and utility relocations in the vicinity of the existing GSTs and existing Dewatering Building
Foundation preparation for the new truck loading bays at the existing dewatering building
Improvements to the existing Dewatering Building generally consisting of three (3) new 2-meter, 3-belt belt filter presses (equipment purchased under separate contract), polymer conditioning system, sludge conveyors, lime feed system, truck loading bays and scales, odor control system, sludge blending tank and mixing equipment, belt filter press feed pumps, with associated support facilities including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and control rooms, office, laboratory and lavatory
Improvements to the existing Dewatering Building structure including roofing replacement, repair, and re-painting of the building metal walls. (The Contractor will be paid for this work by the County under a separate account number that the remainder of the work is being paid for.)
Demolition of existing pumps and piping, and replacement with new pumps and piping in the existing Non-Potable Water Pumping Station
Road improvements in the vicinity of the new Dewatering Facility
Storm water management facilities upgrades
Painting
Electrical upgrades
Process control system upgrades, and all other work required to complete the wastewater treatment plant improvements.
