Andrew Jackson's Bio
As the COO for Construction, Andrew Jackson is at the forefront of changing the way we shape the built environment, digitalising construction, increasing productivity and delivering distinctive value for our clients. With over 30 years experience in the industry, Andrew brings a wealth of knowledge and an infectious energy to his position.
Andrew Jackson has helped transform Mace’s approach to delivering complex projects since he joined the organisation in 2015. Under his leadership, Mace’s residential and international technology teams have created some of the world’s most iconic programmes, balancing rigour, governance, process and procedure.
Gareth Lewis's Bio
Gareth Lewis has been a member of the Mace Group Board since 2001. Under Gareth’s leadership, as CEO for Construction, Mace has become one of the UK and Europe’s leading major contractors and construction managers, and his vision for the future is transforming the way we create the built environment. Gareth also sits on Build UK’s CEO panel.
With more than 35 years’ experience in the construction industry,
Gareth joined Mace in 1994 and then the Group Board in 2001, before
becoming one of the owners of the business in 2003. In 2007, Gareth
was appointed Chief Operating Officer for our Construction business in
the UK and since then, has increased the
construction business turnover to more than £1.6bn, Mace Construct now
established as London’s No 1 contractor.
During his time as CEO, Gareth has been key in the development
of several high-profile Mace projects, including The Shard in London
Bridge, T5 at Heathrow and Battersea Power Station - one of Europe’s
largest construction projects.
Gareth continues to drive Mace to new heights every day. He has
a no compromises approach to health, safety and wellbeing has ensured
that Mace has one of the best safety records in the industry. Gareth
also currently oversees management of the construction supply chain,
and is Group Board sponsor for Behaviours for Success & our
Enabled Group.
Greg Parker's Bio
Building a successful North American business is a challenge that met its match in Mace’s Managing Director Greg Parker. Since landing his first client for Mace in 2011, Greg has grown our offer across the U.S. and Canada, supporting global brands from coast to coast and developing a team of over 200 cost and programme managers.
Jason Millett's Bio
Jason Millett is Chief Executive Officer for Mace’s Consultancy business. He drives growth and activities across Consultancy’s diverse portfolio including global corporate real estate, infrastructure sectors and international markets.
Jason has over 30 years’ construction industry experience and works with our clients to improve and advance infrastructure delivery, advise on critical public services and works of national importance, as well as to drive international growth in developing countries and deliver some of the world's most technically complex programmes of work.
Prior to Mace, Jason was CLM’s programme director for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, responsible for the delivery of the Games venues and the commercial closure of the most successful Olympics ever.
With Mace, he has been instrumental in numerous large projects, including the construction of Dubai Expo 2020, the transformation of London’s Euston station for HS2, and Mace’s work as commercial delivery partner to the UK’s Defence Equipment and Support organisation. Jason has sponsored the development of Mace’s digitally-enabled net zero carbon housing solutions and is a member of the Development Board.
Jason also leads on Mace’s global expansion into the Americas, Asia Pacific and sectors such as housing, healthcare and social infrastructure. As Group Board sponsor for Mace’s Ethnic Diversity Inclusion Group, Jason is passionate about driving inclusivity across the business - for our people, our partners and our clients.
Jason currently sits on the Department of International Trade’s Advisory Group for Investment and was an advisor to the Mayor’s London Infrastructure Delivery Board. He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building, the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and the Association of Project Management.
Lee Penlington's Bio
Since 2010 Lee has held overall commercial responsibility for a number of Mace’s construction businesses, and in particular the formation of a residential service offer. He is founding director of the Como business, Mace’s specialist and leading fit-out company.
Lee started out in the construction industry in quantity surveying and joined Mace to establish the fixed price offer within the Group, leading the commercial team to successfully deliver numerous projects within both the public and private sector.
Mandy Willis's Bio
Mandy officially joined Mace in 2014 after supporting the Board as an external adviser on Tax, Shareholder and Commercial matters for 14 years. Experienced in shareholder matters, corporate structuring, funding and high-level reward and incentivisation, Mandy was appointed in January 2017 to the Board as the Director for Corporate Strategy, leading on governance and corporate restructuring activities, that are critical to delivering the Mace strategy.
Mandy is also a member of the Development and Innovation Boards at Mace, steering the agenda for capital structuring and research & development. In addition, Mandy acts as the Board Sponsor for legal, tax and Woman at Mace, where Mandy champions gender equality as part of the wider diversity and inclusion agenda at Mace, with a specific focus on increasing the representation of women across the business and actively nurturing behaviours that recognise the attributes of a diverse talent pool.
Mark Reynolds's Bio
Mark was appointed Mace’s Group Chief Executive in 2013 and Chairman in January 2022. He has overseen the company’s revenue growth from £1bn to £2bn. He has consistently championed change within the industry, driving innovation to improve service excellence while ensuring Mace continues to be a more productive, efficient and responsible company.
In 2021 Mace launched a new ambitious 2026 strategy to become a
purpose driven company focusing on three strategic priorities; pursue
a sustainable world, grow together, and deliver distinctive value. He
has set clear targets for Mace to grow its revenue by 10% and margin
by 20% annually, invest 3.5% revenue in R&D every year and
contribute 1% of pre-tax profit to its communities through the Mace Foundation.
Mark gained his early experience in the commercial and aviation
sectors, and was the Deputy Programme Director for the London 2012
Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Mark is currently a member of the Construction Leadership
Council, sponsor for the People & Skills workstream, as well as a
Board Director for London First and the Northern Powerhouse Partnership.
Mark Holmes's Bio
Mark is the longest-serving member of the Board, having joined in 1996, and has been Deputy Chairman since January 2020.
Starting as a project manager in 1992 to deliver the ground-breaking £200m new headquarters for British Airways, Mark went on to establish the Mace Consultancy business in the UK.
As part of the team that led Mace’s management buyout in 2001, Mark went onto set up new businesses in cost consultancy and facilities management and established Mace in North America in 2011.
He is the Board sponsor for Mace’s commitment to climate change, and inclusion and chairs our People & Talent, Responsible Business and Diversity & Inclusion steering committees.
Finally, having represented Mace on the board of the UK Government vehicle, Infrastructure Exports UK (IE:UK) for three years, he became Co-Chair in 2021 to help UK companies secure international projects overseas.
Michelle Barkess's Bio
As our Chief Information Officer, Michelle Barkess leads on our digital strategy, ensuring that innovation remains top of the Mace agenda.
Michelle’s goal is to build upon the fantastic foundations already in place and position Mace as both the employer and the partner of choice at a global level. Our digital strategy is very much focused on creating a fully connected business across our clients, our people and our supply chain across the world. And as part of becoming a data driven business, we are constantly looking at how digital platforms can underpin modern methods of construction.
Prior to joining Mace in 2018, Michelle spent more than twenty years leading big-name retailers on their own digital transformation journeys.
Richard Bienfait's Bio
Richard Bienfait is the Group Chief Financial Officer at Mace. He joined Mace in January 2020, and leads the organisation’s financial strategy.
Richard’s role is at the heart of driving our 2026 business strategy and has helped set ambitious carbon reduction and diversity targets, transforming how Mace creates buildings, infrastructure and communities. He is also the board sponsor for our Mace Develop business.
Before Mace, Richard served as Chief Executive at UPP, the UK’s leading provider of on-campus student accommodation. He also held many senior executive roles in the infrastructure sector - both as CFO of Veolia Water UK and CEO of Affinity Water.
Stephen Jeffery's Bio
Stephen Jeffery was appointed Mace’s Chief Technical Officer in 2019. He heads up our Group Technical Services team, oversees the Mace Business School, and is Executive Board sponsor for both Health, Safety and Wellbeing and our Pride at Mace network.
Stephen has continuously driven both technical excellence and innovation throughout his career at Mace, both internally and externally within our supply chain.
Stephen began his Mace journey in 1996, and quickly attained the role of MEP Director, building up core processes and the capability of the team who are now one of the largest and most respected in the industry. He was responsible for setting up our internal MEP contracting business, Mace MEP, who notably delivered the services on The Shard in central London.
Our Central Technical Team was established in 2017, and this comprised of function leaders for all of the disciplines which are needed to support our procurement and delivery teams. In 2019 this team became Group Technical Services coinciding with Stephen becoming Chief Technical officer and joining the Mace Executive Board – and the Group Technical Services now includes service excellence; health, safety and wellbeing; compliance and audit; and internal management systems.

In his role as Managing Director for Major Projects, Andy leads a 460-strong team with a forward-thinking, hands-on approach that continuously raises the bar on innovation and sustainable delivery.

From apprentice of the year 2018 to fully-fledged manager by 2020, Georgina Cox is a prime example of hard work paying off. Bringing a breadth of experience to MEP and a true passion for the sector, Georgina is now using her skills to help Mace reach new heights in the world of construction.
Gordon Beggy's Bio
When Operations Director Gordon Beggy left his native Australia for Ireland in 2005, he thought it would be a one-year adventure. Fifteen years later, an outstanding career in construction and management consulting has propelled him from New York to San Francisco, where he’s now paving the way for successful project delivery as Mace’s West Coast lead for North America.

Turning raw data into real business insight, Kate Bleazard is helping our clients completely transform project delivery. Kate has an eye for understanding complex systems and finding data driven solutions for the most daunting of tasks. From project dashboards to critical decision-making, Kate is supporting our clients to redefine the boundaries of ambition in data management, process engineering and programme controls.
Mark Castle's Bio
Mark was appointed as a non-executive director in April 2021. A chartered surveyor, he commenced his career in 1981 and during his 40 years in industry has held senior leadership and board roles at Wates Group, StructureTone and Mace Group, latterly as Chief Operating Officer at Mace.
Mark is also a non-executive director of Eleco Plc, the AIMS-listed software company where he chairs the ESG Committee and is also a member of the Audit, Nominations and RemCom Committees. Mark was Chairman of Build UK – the leading representative organisation for the UK Construction Industry from 2017-2019.
