Whether you have a full set of blueprints ready to go or just a
picture in your head, Golden Rule Construction is here to help you
through every step.
The project management team at Golden Rule Construction will
work with you to determine which strategy is best to achieve your
goals. At Golden Rule we are committed to helping the customer
understand all aspects of their project. Open communication is a top
priority with any project. We welcome questions, concerns, or
comments in order to make sure the entire construction process run
smoothly.
Golden Rule Construction was started in 1954 by Cliff
Hill, with the original office building located on the corner of 41st
& Western.
In 1960, Robert Leafstedt became the new owner, and Ken
Mattheis joined him soon after. Bob and Ken incorporated the company
later that year. In 1973 the company moved its office and shop from
the location on 41st street to its current location on Western Avenue.
In 1995, Golden Rule was purchased by Bob’s sons, Regan and
Rich Leafstedt. The company currently employs around 20 field crew
members and up to 45 employees during the summer months.
In 2020, Golden Rule was acquired by Empire Building Construction. Golden Rule and Empire both have similar values and company cultures. They both believe in taking care of their employees and empowering them to grow personally and professionally. This in turn creates a culture of outstanding quality and customer service. Going forward, both teams are excited to work together to continue the tradition of exceeding customer expectations.
