A high end retreat for America's finest servicemen and women.
An officers retreat allows for an escape from long, hard duty, a place to unwind, relax and adjust. This facility at Warner Robins AFB in Warner Robins GA is tiled in VCT that is almost 10 years old. It has been repeatedly waxed, stripped, and waxed again. The dull, scratched look of this aging, tired floor showed its all of its wear, tear and abused life. "This floor NEVER looks clean, even after mopping or scrubbing" said one officer in charge of this facility. There was no money to replace this floor with any material.
A unique coating that is applied directly to resilient flooring and cured instantly with UV light was selected for this project. The tough urethane coating that is resistant to dirt, stains and abuse  allowed for the high end shine, and the instant cure process assured no down time for drying or curing! The floor looks fresh, new, and  cleans with a dust mop, and spills simply wipe or mop away! This floor far "out ranks" younger surfaces in other parts of the base, and gives a sealed, bacteria resistant surface that will last years beyond the expected life of the floor it protects!
The cost of this floor pays for itself in maintenance and cleaning. It never has to be stripped, it requires NO buffing, and scratches can be easily repaired with a light brush coat and UV hand lamp to cure. Depending on square footage of a facility, the savings can reach 5 figures in dollars over its installed life. One very high ranking general who was visiting the base was heard to comment, "if our shoes shined like this floor, we would never fail an inspection!"
