Scope Of Work

Gunnison Valley Hospital is a small community hospital located in Sanpete County, Utah. Since its doors first opened in 1940s, the hospital offers a variety of inpatient and outpatient services as well as caring home health and hospice services. As the community of Gunnison grows, so does the need for more healthcare services. In 2017, Big-D started working on an addition to the hospital to help with its mission of providing high-quality healthcare services to the communities of Central Utah.

The project included the addition of a 2-story, 10,600 square-foot to the existing hospital. The new addition also features new operating rooms, offices, sterile supply storage, decontamination, sleep, locker, lounge, break, soil holding, and secure access rooms. Project team members also remodeled existing rooms in the hospital. Project phasing was required in order to complete construction of new buildout prior to beginning remodel work inside the existing building.
