Scope Of Work

Gilbert, Arizona is a fast-growing, affluent suburb of Phoenix that has won national recognition for both business and recreation activities. Not surprisingly, the city has a significant need for hotels. In 2014, the city approved plans for a new hotel. Big-D Construction was hired to construct what is now a new Hampton Inn and Suites.

Crews broke ground in March of 2015, on the five-story, 101-room hotel, which is located across the road from Banner Gateway and M.D. Anderson medical centers at U.S. 60 and Higley Road. Crews used an eco-friendly construction method based around ICF and Concrete materials. We anticipate that this method may contribute to a savings of more than $20,000/year in energy costs, which makes a significant impact in Arizona’s hot temperatures.

The new hotel features a pool and hot tub with ADA accessibility, an outdoor gas fireplace near the pool, a state of the art fitness center, a large contemporary breakfast area with a self-serve breakfast in the morning, a contemporary water feature in the lobby for a more sophisticated appearance, a business center with internet access and printer capabilities, a large conference room that will have the option to partition off to a smaller room. Large King suites featuring nearly 600 square feet of space along with a smaller king room and double queens as well. All rooms are nicely appointed with luxury mattresses, flat screen TV’s and upgraded millwork. The hotel was designed and built with the option in mind of adding Photovoltaic panels to be installed on the roof for future use.
