I'm writing this three months later with no repair to our roof. This company started off what seemed to be professional (three months ago) until they damaged my vaulted ceiling by using wrong nails (too long). They also over tarped. The head roofer instructed he would fix the damage with no problem. Good thing I stopped them right away or the damage would be throughout the entire ceiling!!!!! With that said, the company went through one inspection with our insurance. My insurance company is waiting for the letter to start the appraisal and we've tried for over 3 weeks to get this started. We even went to the company's office/ his house to get some clarification regarding the process and why he hadn't returned our calls. The man that answered the door called himself the assistant and he would look into our file. He also mentioned that they were backed up!!
The public adjuster associated with this company did not follow up and displayed poor time management skills and unprofessional behavior. He should of called us back and contacted my insurance!!! My insurance is still waiting on him. With that said, I'm dumping this company and hoping for a roofing company that knows what they are doing!! I'm so disgusted with the damage that was caused and unprofessional behavior! Do not use this company, unless you want a damaged roof and ceiling in the process! They simply do not care!
This company was referred to us from our neighbors. They did a free consultation with the owner of the house and determined we could qualify for a new roof from our insurance. They requested the owner to sign off on the paperwork. The owner being my father who doesn't speak, write or read fluent english. My father signed off on the paperwork. I got home and the company was still there talking to my father. Right away I got a bad vibe. I asked to see all the papers my dad signed. They only showed me one piece of paper which was supposed to be the estimated cost of repair, instead if numbers the whole quote sections said TBD. I asked about this and they said they would work with our insurance to determine how much they would charge. I thought this was unusual as a quote/estimate shouldn't have anything to do with our insurance. At this point they seemed almost nervous. My father gave them permission to call me and follow up with me about the claim. They said they would contact my insurance to initiate the claim and then they would call me to set up the appointment. They took down my information
Fast forward about 10 days later we get a letter from the insurance company stating they got a claim adjuster contract which indicated the adjuster would represent us and that he had set up an appointment for early October. I immediately called the insurance to see what was going on. My insurance told me they are representing us and verified the apt date. He also said any elegible claim funds would be paid out to us and the adjuster. I explained we were never made aware of this. And asked he sent me a copy of the paperwork he received. He sends me a contract that the sales rep avoided showing me when i asked to see everything that was signed. The contract had different handwriting and ink color on different sections of the form. Not sure if they purposely refuse to show me this or what.
I called the rep who had my dad sign whatever docs and demand to cancel and not move forward with the claim. He said i needed to talk to Olegario. He said he would give me his number. He finally txt me it 2 hours later after i told him i he never sent it. I leave olegario a msg. My call is never returned. I call the sales rep again. Tell him i got no call back he then gives me Brians number who is the claims adjuster. I also left him a msg. Never heard back. Call him back 2 days letter and he answers. I explained we wanted to cancel and he said that was fine. He said verbal confirmation was all we needed. Per the contract he sent my insurance. The cancelation must be done in writing he says no. I argue with him back and forth and request a written confirmation that he is no longer representing us on the claim he finally agrees to send me something he said i would get the next day. Never got anything. I calle him 2 days letter no response. I called text and emailed him several times that week and no response.
I let my insurance company know what was going on. They said he is also calling to call them back. They notified brian we wanted to cancel brian said he would talk to us to be sure thats what we wanted. This is several days after i had talked to him and told him i wanted to cancel. After he was going to supposedly call us to ensure we wanted to cancel he was to send my insurance a release. He never called is. Never called my insurance. He has failed to follow up on my insurance calls and msgs and has also failed to call. Txt or email me back. Per the signed contract if we dont cancel in writing he gets 35% of whatever our insurance pays. It feels like this is what he wants. For our insurance to cont with the claim so he can get money for ignoring my calls.
Their customer skills suck. Wait. There are no customer skills. They do this insurance bs for nothing but the money. They are the most unprofessional company i have ever worked with. I hope more ppl see this before they sign with these scammers.
