Scope Of Work

The State of Minnesota is more than just home to thousands of lakes; the state is also the birthplace for the Mississippi River. Located just 5 blocks west of the “great river”, is a new mixed-use project that Big-D constructed in the community of Saint Paul. The Finn Apartments is a 4-story building that features 57 apartments, 11,000 square feet of retail space, and another 8,000 square feet dedicated to office space.

The construction site was also the home to an Edina Realty office. In order to have minimum disruptions to Edina’s employees, the project was built in two phases. Edina remains as a prominent tenant in the new complex. Light gauge metal frames outlines the retail space on the first floor. There is also a parking structure that currently accommodates more than a hundred parking stalls. The apartments range from 571 square feet to 1,500 square feet.

Big-D and the developers of the property had to work with the city and neighbors to ensure that there would be minimal disruptions to vehicle and pedestrian traffic in the area as the neighborhood is home to several homes and businesses.
