Scope Of Work
DeSales Athletic Field and Field House
Known as the: “Paul B. Cox Stadium”
Completed and dedicated in August of 2016, Paul B. Cox Stadium provides a playing and viewing experience that is second to none. The new facility gives DeSales students access to a state-of-the-art playing field for athletic competitions, physical education classes, group gatherings and intramurals.
The new stadium will provide the setting for the first on-campus home football game in the school’s 60-year history, and it establishes a permanent home for DeSales Athletics and the thousands of alumni who come back to cheer on the Colts.
Stadium includes:
Multi-sport stadium for hosting Football, Soccer, Baseball, Lacrosse and physical education and intramural sports along with associated support building
2,850-seat capacity, including 234 chair back seats
Synthetic field turf system with sand/rubber infill mixture
Two-level fieldhouse for concessions, restrooms, baseball locker room and athletic offices
David H. & Linda A. Miles Plaza with commemorative two-tone inlaid brick cross
200-seat baseball bleachers and batting cage at Rex Robinson Memorial Field
Separate scoreboards and press boxes for baseball and football/soccer
State-of-the-art lighting, sound and security systems
Bermuda grass practice field on Laughlin Avenue
Project Cost: $6,000,000. Sullivan Cozart is the General Contractor
