Scope Of Work
Ephraim City Hall is an 18,138 square foot office building. It has three floors and is wood framed with a brick and E.I.F.S. exterior. It is early 1900 Classic American Style architecture including a bell tower, large porch columns and stone sills and lintels at the windows. The interior common areas include large 4-panel doors, wood base, crown and trim and chandelier lighting. The city and police offices are of a more modern design with hollow metal jambs, single panel doors and lay-in acoustic ceilings.
Ephraim City had already entertained a proposal from another design-build contractor. However, when their price came back it was way out of the city’s ability. This building not only met the City’s budget and included everything the other building proposed but also matched the historic downtown architecture of Ephraim City which the other offer did not. In addition, the building is capped with a bell tower which now houses the Old Ephraim Bell.
