Scope Of Work
The picture you see above is 1/2 of the total!
In a rare case, our customer (Doug) has a home with both a western solar exposure and and eastern solar exposure. Now…most potential customers MIGHT have this same scenario, but what sets this project apart from the rest of the non-south facing solar arrays are two things:
1) Doug’s house has NOTHING shading him from the south. Even though his solar panels face East and West, it STILL matters whether there are shading obstructions to the south.
2) Doug’s house has a fairly shallow roof pitch (18 degrees) which means that the sunlight reaches the roofs more often and for longer periods of time than steep roof faces with east/west exposures.
So…the lessons learned on this project were that East Solar Arrays DO perform well under the right circumstances (as well as West Solar Arrays).
On a side note: Doug is a licensed electrician in the state of Oregon and was able to perform some of his own work on this project which helped to lower his final installation costs.
We are always looking for opportunities to work together with our customers and this was a fine example of these efforts.
Thanks so much for your business Doug
