Our Story

Advanced Video Security was established in 1990 and started out as an Electronics Repair shop. We were repairing consumer electronics as well as commercial security equipment. Long gone are the days of security recording with a VHS or Beta Time Lapse Recorder. Cameras and recorders were commonly repaired due to the high cost of replacement. As security equipment became less expensive and more reliable we began gearing toward CCTV installation and on-site system repair. With the introduction of a PC card for video capture in the late 90's we began building Windows based computers and incorporating capture cards for the first digital recorders. Twenty years later we are still building Windows based computers/servers for IP based camera systems. Our background in electronic repair and computer building/repair gave us a good foundation to build on. Adding network design gave us the foundation for larger scale systems where integration with existing networks or parallel networks became necessary. Wireless network design was also integral to providing IP systems for multi-building systems. Working with a company's IT department is critical for a successful IP system. In addition to Video Camera Systems we also install Apartment entry systems and audio/visual intercoms.
