Alan Stephens is founder of Eco Green Air. He began his working career as an officer in the US Army. He was an ROTC student who served as the commander of the University of Alabama's marching group. He entered the ROTC program after walking on the University of Alabama's crimson tide football team. Alan then received a Masters Degree from the University of Alabama and, 10 years later, earned a Masters of Science from Johns Hopkins University.
In 1999, Alan started working on industrial AC and heating systems and fell in love with the field. He later attended Wake Tech and was the top student. He worked for several mechanical companies in Raleigh before striking out on his own full time.
Alan holds all three mechanical licenses in the State of NC and has 9 NATE certifications. He loves to solve unique problems that require out of the box solutions. He is factory trained in Fujitsu systems and sees ductless mini splits as part of the future of HVAC for light commercial and strip mall retail. Alan has also worked with solar panel companies to design sustainable buildings that cut power consumption in half.
