Scope Of Work
Baxter Springs High School was built in 1914 and served as the community’s high school and middle school over the past century. When the school district passed a bond issue to build a new middle school, the fate of this beautiful historic building was threatened. Prairie Fire saw the opportunity to take a community liability and convert it into a community asset.
The property was purchased and transformed in to 28 units of 55+ maintenance free apartments. This award-winning project was placed on the historic register and is now home to many happy residents!
