Scope Of Work
TEAM LA is the go-to for fan gear of any kind representing Los Angeles’ beloved teams: Lakers, Clippers, and Kings. The company wanted to make a splash with its newest location inside the Staples Center and it selected Gray West, formally known as Timberwolff Construction, to partner on the project.
The Gray team was presented with an interesting challenge for this project: how to properly feature three different teams, at different times, inside the same store. As a solution, Gray equipped the store to be the first and only one in the world with a three-sided rotating wall. This enables each team’s merchandise to be stocked and ready, allowing for quick changes when multiple teams play on the same day.
The 7,000 s.f. store, which is nearly twice the size of the previous facility, features 25 checkout stations, 12 TV stations that play live feeds during games, and a variety of memorabilia and products for fans of LA teams. Completed in just six weeks, the store also features impressive high-end finishes lending to an up-scale interior atmosphere.
