Scope Of Work
The project included reinforced concrete work and use of a tower crane excavation was performed on a $200 million cubic yard, five stories below grade.
We first conducted pre-task planning for all construction trades as they moved onto the site. The Menotti team participated in weekly meetings to determine possible hazards and lay out all safety measures whether it be NYC Department of Building requirements and/or OSHA requirements.
Menotti played a key cog in all major hazardous tasks such as tower crane installation, crane lifting task planning, and fire safety related tasks. We should also note that OSHA training was provided to various subcontractors outside of the job for a separate fee. Menotti served as the lead communicator between the owner, contractors, construction managers, and subcontractors.
We emphasized the importance of safety from the project’s inception by checking that everyone who entered the site had the necessary credentials. At Menotti Enterprise, our job is to reduce all risk and liability for all who own and enter the site. Needless to say, this 40-story hotel went up without a hitch in terms of safety.
