Scope Of Work
H&H Solar was the EPC Contractor for this 6MW of Solar PV across 2 sites at Dubuque, IA. The first site is 22 acres and has 15,625 Canadian Solar Modules attached to fixed tilt racking from APAlternatives. We chose APAlternatives racking because of their ability to install the racking and follow the natural contours of the land. This eliminated the need for extensive site grading. H&H Solar was responsible for all aspects of this project including the building of over 2000 feet of site access roads.
The other site near downtown Dubuque has 1MW of ballasted ground mount on Solar Flex Rack. This site is considered a ‘brownfield site’ as it once was utilized for foundary ash. This site has a cap, and therefore any wiring and foundations had to be less than 2 feet below ground. A pavilion has been constructed which will be used for school tours as a ‘learning’ lab. The nearby bike path is being extended to go around the solar site and near the pavilion.
