Scope Of Work
This 79,500 SF renovation project consisted of demolition of the existing 1984 expansion, a partial interior renovation of existing library, and construction of a new library. The project provided an opportunity to blend five eras of construction (1904, 1907, 1940, 1985, and 2014). Spaces included library, flex rooms for meeting and conferences, a childrens room, a teen lounge, restrooms, an automated book sort facility, storage and administrative spaces. The library is LEED Gold certified.
A unique aspect to this project was the huge volume of books that had to be relocated to temporary space and then returned to the renovated library upon project completion.
