Scope Of Work
The KBR Test Facility (KTF) is 1,700 acres of controllable test area, consisting of one 6,500-foot runway, two 10,000-foot runways, and several support buildings, including two hangars and the airfield’s former aircraft control tower. Located in Lubbock, Texas, on the former Reese Air Force base, KTF is centrally located within the U.S. and is easily accessible, with only a short distance to an international airport and other amenities.
KTF delivers full life cycle test support, from requirements analysis, test design, and test planning, to test execution (including aircrew services), test analysis and data reduction, and test reporting. By integrating KTF and KBR’s test and engineering services expertise, we offer customers reduced test lead-time from months to weeks, while providing the specific test conditions required at a significant discount over other national test ranges.
KBR Test Facility:
Includes one 3,600 sq. ft. Hanger, one 2,100 sq. ft. hanger, and a 2,500 sq. ft. raised floor data center
6-story, 75-foot control tower with unobscured view of entire airfield
Three identical 970 sq. ft. climate-controlled buildings, currently being used as a machine shop, office space, and an operations center for existing testing
Additional buildings customized for storage, fabrication, or office space
