Scope Of Work
The Starbucks Distribution Center project, built for the Starbucks Coffee Company, included the new construction of a 712,007 square foot warehouse addition to the Starbucks campus in Minden, NV. The facility supports the streamlining of regional coffee bean sourcing in the distribution center and increased roasting capacity at the roasting plant, which roasts 100 million pounds of beans annually. The warehouse was constructed on a foundation consisting of concrete spread footings and walls with a structural steel frame. An exterior of tilt-up concrete panels and thermoplastic polyolefin roofing over bar joists and metal deck the construction. The project also included 300 external semi-truck trailer parking spaces, 35 industrial loading docks, internal offices, a guard shack, and truck entrance gates. Due to CORE’s project management scheduling during pre-construction, the Starbucks Distribution Center project was ahead of schedule with minimal disruption to the ongoing warehouse operations.
