Jan Steenbrugge's Bio
Leadership And Intellectual Creativity
As AD MELIORA's President & Chief Executive Officer Jan is responsible for overseeing the management of the business. With over 10 years of successful experience in diverse areas of the Commercial Real Estate Industry, he has led projects and completed assignments both in the US and Belgium. Before he founded AD MELIORA in 2011, Jan was in charge of the family's business in Belgium and after more than doubling the Belgium real estate turnover, he successfully led the expansion of his family's business into the US market in 2008. Soon, friends wanted him to invest their money, then friends of friends and thereafter, AD MELIORA was created to accommodate this natural growth. The company experienced such rapid growth that, in 2012, Jan and his family moved to Boston.
Jan holds a Law Degree from the University of Ghent, one of the top universities in Belgium. Jan has a passion for classical music. He has conducted and played in several orchestras in Europe and the US and is currently the principal 2nd violinist for the Boston Civic Orchestra, where he sits on the board. Jan also sits on the leadership council of the Berklee College of Music.

Paul is a seasoned executive with over 35 years experience in real estate development and construction. His experience includes site selection and due diligence, pre-construction analysis, site approval, development and design, and construction and asset management. Paul has worked for some major residential developers in the Northeast such as The Green Company, AvalonBay, Roseland Property Company, The Stabile Companies, and Abbott Development.
Paul brings with him significant experience in multifamily construction and development, and has been involved in the development and construction of some major projects in the Boston area. Paul is a graduate of the Dublin Institute of Technology, Dublin Ireland.

Sarah joined our team in 2016 after working in office management for almost half her life. She has adapted to many environments after having a wide exposure to different industries, working for a machine shop, engineering firm and a software company. She has spent the past four years devoted to two Boston startups. Handling tasks as diverse as project management, accounting, human resources, reporting and customer service, Sarah brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience in any challenge presented to her. She is comfortable taking the lead on large projects and brings experience working with property management companies. She received her Bachelor of Arts and Sciences from Salem State University.
Ben DiScipio's Bio
Versatility And Experience
Ben brings a wealth of business experience to the team at AD MELIORA. His work spans a wide array of specialties and impacts our company in many ways. He has worked extensively in client management, sales, and project development in the IT, Internet, and management consulting space. In the years prior to joining us, Ben served as VP of Consulting services and Client Management for Vizy Interactive in New York, was a consultant and operations manager for The Lab, a management consulting company, and Corporate Sales Manager for multiple IT companies. Ben started as a graphic designer and continues to use those skills as he designs and maps out the web presence for AD MELIORA and it's properties. Ben is our primary contact for Investor communications,
After finishing his undergraduate studies in Political Science and Music at the College of the Holy Cross, Ben studied orchestral and choral conducting in graduate studies at New England Conservatory and Boston University. Ben also studied voice in the Opera Studio at New England Conservatory. In addition to his work in business, Ben has performed throughout the world as a conductor, pianist and solo vocalist.
Elliot Szlachetka's Bio
Prior to joining AD MELIORA in 2016, Elliot spent three years working in the construction field, estimating and performing site coordination for a material handling company in Western Massachusetts. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Massachusetts in Building Construction Technology in 2013.
Presently, he is serving as our Project Superintendent and working towards completing his Master's degree in Construction Management from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston.
Majid Al-Zaben's Bio
Majid joined our team in 2016 as a Site Superintendent and has climbed the ranks to Project Manager in charge of our Beacon Hill historical Church redevelopment. He has managed to achieve this through furthering his education, getting his Construction Supervisor License, and experience with Ad Meliora. With an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from UMass Amherst, his focus was primarily on structural design, and he worked in that field for a year. He followed that up with a Master's Degree in Construction Engineering Management from the University of Colorado, Denver.
Growing up and working in Saudi Arabia and Lebanon in a construction oriented family, Majid has a different perspective on work and construction as a whole. As they face different issues and environments, his solution-based thinking puts him at an advantage. His experience centers on concrete and wood based construction.
Nick Soughley's Bio

Nick joined AD MELIORA in 2015. Before entering the construction industry, Nick served honorably in the United States Air Force for six years, including two combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. Following his decorated military career, Nick received his undergraduate degree from Worcester State University in Business and Economics while working for Turner Construction Company in Boston.
Currently, Nick is a Project Manager and earning his Masters in Construction Management from Wentworth Institute of Technology.

Anet Nambi Nantongo's Bio

Anet joined our Team in 2016 as an exceptional accounting and administrative professional with over 15 years of experience in managing accounting functions and preparing financial reports. Motivated, Anet brings to our team diversity. She previously worked with Ascensus, a college savings and retirement finance company, Keiyo Investments LTD (Uganda) as an accounting and administrative supervisor and Intertek Testing Services as a System Administrator/Supervisor.
Anet received an Honors Degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from Ndejje Universithy, Uganda.
Steven Phu's Bio

Steven joined AD MELIORA in 2012 and currently is the head of company's finance arm. Steven directs all aspects of accounting operations, oversees all financial activities related to general ledger, AR, AP, bank financing, and provides strategic guidance around capital financing options to support company growth needs. Steven also assists company CEO in financial planning and results management and manages all tax planning and compliance with all required federal, state, local, payroll, property and other appplicable taxes.
Steven graduated from the University of Bremen in Germany with a masters and Ph.D. in Geophysics. He speaks Mandarin, English and basic German and is a licensed Broker for both residential and commercial real estate transactions in Massachusetts.
