Scope Of Work

Appalachian Regional Hospital fulfilled a certificate of need for an expansion of their existing facility. Denham-Blythe delivered this design-build project consisting of a 3-story hospital over a full basement. The work was divided into multiple phases including site work, new construction, and complete renovation of a former ER space.

1st floor - Emegency Department including 23 beds and 7 fast track beds

2nd floor - 16 bed cardiac care/CCU

3rd floor - 34 bed medical/surgical step-down unit

Rooftop heliport

Basement mechanical room and 8,000 sf shell space

Conversion of former ER space to 22 bed Pre-op suite

Energy plant upgrades to improve capacity and efficiency
