Our Story
Joseph Montiel is the founder of Bay-Tech Electric, Incorporated.
Joe has over 34 years’ experience in the electrical industry, starting with a 4 Year IBEW Local 6 Apprenticeship and spanning a range of projects including commercial, ground-up High-Rise, and industrial for clients in the retail, hospitality, banking, services and tech industries.
With data centers, however, Joe found his niche, managing projects from individual server rooms to some of the world’s largest Data Centers.
With over 20 years’ experience supporting customers in the tech industry, Joe’s expertise developed as the industry boomed. He increasingly worked on larger projects, starting as a General Foreman, eventually working his way up to Superintendent, supervising large crews (75+) on projects throughout California and Arizona.
Over the years, Joe noticed a gap between what the electrical industry could provide and what his clients actually needed. This prompted him to start Bay-Tech, a full-service electrical provider with deep technological expertise.
Bay-Tech’s mission is founded on Joe’s vision - to develop the next generation of electrical solutions that help the data center industry achieve its fullest potential.
