Scope Of Work
The HISTORICAL RENOVATION of 121 year old Heights Clocktower WON APOLLO CONSTRUCTION the 2016 GOOD BRICK AWARD.The Clocktower is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and protected as a city of Houston landmark and won the Development of Distinction Awards by the Houston District Council of the Urban Land Institute. Urban Land Institute-Houston honored the projects and their owners with Development of Distinction Awards in eight categories.The recently renovated Heights Clock Tower building, which began life in 1894 as a mattress factory, has been transformed into spaces that include offices and a bakery. Instead of tearing down the complex and constructing a new building, the owners, Heights Clock Tower LLC, took advantage of the architecture and fixtures already available in the building, which was built in phases between 1893 and 1900. Rick Shores, Apollo Construction's Superintendent, spent 3+ years supervising the job for Apollo and says its his favorite job he has ever completed.
