Artisan Construction & Design

Artisan Construction and Design officially began in 1999 by merging two construction companies, one of which was John Price Builders. Following their first year of operation, Artisan Construction & Design was publicly recognized with two Chrysalis Awards for Excellence in Residential Remodeling. In the second year of operation, Artisan expanded into the commercial sector and were involved in an increased volume of quality projects throughout California.

In a short period of time, the company had doubled in volume and employees. Commercially, Artisan completed projects for banks and credit unions in San Francisco, Sunnyvale and the Central Valley. The service area has expanded to include all of California.

In addition, the residential division has completed wonderful projects, including many kitchens, baths, room additions, second story additions and decks. In recognition of Artisan's high quality, the company has received multiple Chrysalis Awards and multiple CotY Awards for projects over the past years.

In 2002, John Price received the prestigious Chrysalis Award for Remodeler of the Year for the State of California; in addition the same award for the Western Region of the United States as Western Regional Remodeler of the Year.

John was further honored in Merced as Small Business of the year in 2009
