Scope Of Work
This project consisted of approximately 80,000 sq ft of new construction (an addition to the existing Central Elementary School) plus selective interior renovations to the existing Central School building, as well as demolition of the existing middle school after completion of the new addition. The project created a new middle school for 775 students. All work was performed on an existing occupied school site, both the existing Middle and Central schools remained in full operation during construction (except for summers).
The scope of site work included parking lot and road way construction, outdoor play and athletic facilities, landscaping, and re-location of an underground storm-water retention system. The new school design includes classrooms, laboratories, media center, kitchen, cafeteria, gymnasium, music, art rooms, science labs, and offices. The project required complicated phasing and logistics.
Amanti performed the HVAC portion of this construction project.
