Our Story
Olori Crane Service is a family owned crane rental company serving the building industry of the Hudson Valley for over sixty years. Started by Louis Olori, Sr. in 1950, the company is built on a solid foundation of placing the needs of the customer first. Lou accomplished this by providing quality equipment along with personnel that held a strong sense of pride and a solid work ethic – principles that have seen the firm through six decades, and remain a key component of operations today.
Mr. Olori began with a crane mounted on a chain drive Mack truck – and during the first year that machine never lost a day’s work! Through his hard work and dedication the fleet and the business grew. The business operated out of New City and then moved to Nanuet New York in 1975. Mr. Olori’s five sons joined the business as they came of age, each learning the crane business from the bottom up. Lou Jr., Ron, Bob and John would stay with the business, while their youngest brother Ken, an architect, would take a position in NYC, while remaining connected to the business as a consultant.
In August of 1994, the Olori’s lost their founder and patriarch, Louis Olori, Sr., but while marked with this great sadness, the 1990’s was also a time of great growth for the firm. Lou would have been proud to watch as the business expanded, and in 1996 diversified to form OCS Industries, providing contract rigging and stone quarry installations, and once again in 2000 as Olori High Reach was founded providing man-lift and forklift rentals. In 2004, there was a restructuring of the business. Bob and John Olori took complete ownership of OCS Industries, divesting themselves of their interest in Olori Crane Service. Ron Olori Sr. became sole owner of Olori Crane, adding his daughter, Lisa Olori-Bruno and son Ron Jr. as principles/partners. Although Lou, Jr. retired, he remains a joint owner of Olori High Reach with Ron Sr., Bob, and John Olori.
While still maintaining its principal offices in Rockland County, in 2011 Olori Crane Service purchased Royal Crane of Pleasant Valley, NY to better serve their customers in Dutchess County and the northern Hudson Valley regions.
At Olori Crane Service we continue to structure our fleet of well maintained equipment to meet the diverse needs of our customers; from lattice boom truck cranes to hydraulic all-terrains, rough terrains, carry decks, and a first in our history, a 100 ton Link Belt LS-218H crawler crane. Today, our fleet is made up of over 20 cranes that service our customers throughout the Lower Hudson area. Cognizant of the needs of our customers, Olori Crane is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
