Following a 30-year career in healthcare administration, including 12 years as president of Methodist Dallas Medical Center, John joined Rogers-O’Brien in 2004 to lead the company’s entry into medical construction. His experience on the owner side gave John invaluable insight into the needs of healthcare clients. Total healthcare construction revenue has grown to more than $1 billion and regularly exceeds $100 million annually. John’s duties also include directing the marketing and client relations functions for the company and conducting leadership development courses for staff members and clients.

John holds a bachelor’s degree from Trinity University and a master’s of health administration from Washington University. He is a Lifetime Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives (LFACHE) – the highest level of credentials in the professional organization of healthcare executives. In the community, John is a Life member of the Salesmanship Club of Dallas. He is active in choral and lay leadership roles at University Park United Methodist Church. John enjoys golf and traveling with his wife, Joyce. They have four adult children and one grandchild.

Having grown up in a family of builders, Justin currently serves as President and CEO of RO as its 3rdgeneration leader. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University and a MBA from Southern Methodist University.

Paul applies the wisdom gained through 40 years in the construction industry, managing $4 billion in construction to reinforcing Rogers-O’Brien's zero-defects culture. His leadership methods to assure success include incorporating project-based risk assessments and ongoing leadership training with a focus on prevention, institutionalizing lessons learned and maintaining clear open lines of communication. Paul also mentors employees on leadership development skills and serves on the operations council, providing strategic direction for the company. He holds bachelor’s degrees in construction engineering and distributed studies from Iowa State University.

Paul has invested heavily in the industry and the community, having served on the board of Associated General Contractors (DFW chapter), SMU College of Engineering Advisory Board, Iowa State University Construction Industry Advisory Council and board of the Construction Specifications Institute Foundation. He is married to Nancy and has two adult children.

The axiom “successful leaders grow successful businesses” is definitely true in the case of Preston. In his 22 years as CEO, Preston built on the past successes of founding partners Pat O’Brien and Steve Rogers. His unwavering dedication enabled us to attain $1.5 billion in revenue during the past five years, and at the same time, has secured our reputation throughout the region as a company highly respected for its culture of integrity and commitment to excellence.

Born and reared in Dallas, Preston grew up in construction – his first job in high school was sharpening pencils for Rogers-O’Brien. After earning a BBA from East Texas University and a master’s in building construction from Texas A&M University, he held various construction-related positions. Most memorably, he worked for the Carpenter family business – Southland Real Estate Resources – serving as the owner’s representative on Quail Run apartments, the first project in Las Colinas. His varied and successful career in real estate development and construction has produced long-standing and valued relationships with owners and architects, and prepared him to lead Rogers-O’Brien into the 21st century.

Preston believes in giving back to the profession. He served as chair for the Dallas chapter of TEXO, the professional organization serving the construction community in North Texas. He is an inspiration and role model to our employees as well as the greater construction community. Some of his greatest professional accomplishments include Rogers-O’Brien’s recognition by the Dallas chapter of the American Institute of Architects as Contractor of the Year in 2001 and by the American Subcontractors Association as General Contractor of the Year in 2008. Preston is married to Barbara, has three grown children and is a proud grandpa.
