The new A.V. Cato Elementary School has a core capacity of 900, serving grades prekindergarten through 5. The building program includes: Classrooms for grades 1 through 5, Classrooms with internal single occupancy restrooms for pre-k and kindergarten, Special education classrooms and support spaces, Specific classrooms and support spaces for art, music, and science, Computer labs, Physical education instruction facilities including gymnasium, office, storage, and restrooms, Library including library furniture; office, workroom and storage, Food service, including food preparation and serving, cafetorium with stage and storage, Service and support spaces, including corridors, lobbies, mechanical, electrical, data hub, and fire sprinkler rooms; restrooms, storage, and custodial spaces.
