Scope Of Work
The UTPB Multipurpose building is a 2-story, 39,000 square foot building that includes a lobby area, coffee shop, convenience store, fitness/cardio area, locker rooms, a licensed day care center for students, dining hall, full service cafeteria, serving area, administration offices and large gathering area with a coffee bar. There are several group study rooms for students to utilize and a large conference room for student plays, presentations, or guest speakers. There are also administrative offices for student held positions, such as student senate, and Alumni offices to assist graduating students. This building is centered in the heart of the campus with a large covered patio for students to gather. Due to the rapid growth of the campus the project site was between existing campus buildings and another ongoing construction project. With virtual no lay down area, our firm had to develop a procurement and delivery plan for the subcontractors to be able to stay on schedule and not have to store large amounts of material off site.
