Scope Of Work
The Vista Community College building is a 160,000 Sf, six-story education facility located in downtown Berkeley. (1 story below grade) The new facility is a contemporary office building with a six-story atrium skylight as the focus for the students, faculty, and staff. The west wing of the building houses the administrative quarters as well as the registration and career counseling areas. The east wing consists the classroom and laboratory spaces for the faculty. A 250-seat auditorium and lecture hall is on the ground floor level and the building is fully ADA compliant for public events. The building is steel framed with seismic resistant concrete exterior walls. The Center elevation is a glass curtain wall system with reinforced concrete panels and a glass-cube entry form. As an urban building, Vista College has a complete security system as well as a new voice and data integrated cabling system for the various computer and science laboratories
