Scope Of Work
The Emerson Middle School project consisted of a new 17,249 SF gymnasium building which includes music and dance classrooms, locker rooms, and six basketball and volleyball courts, including telescoping bleachers.
As part of the contract, Amoroso built a new 64,000 SF synthetic turf athletic field using a brand new product, specified by the owner, as a trial for LAUSD's other schools. The project included extensive B-Permit work, including a new 450-ft.-bus turn-in lane. The front of the existing campus was completely renovated to include grand entrance stairs, a new electronic marquee, and ADA-compliant entrance ramps. For the school's existing playfield, Amoroso built a new teacher parking lot and exterior gardening center and widened the teacher access road.
