Scope Of Work
In November 2008, voters approved Measure N, which provided for the upgrade, replacement and/or expansion of three libraries in Palo Alto: The Downtown Library, the Mitchell Park Library and Community Center, and the Main Library. The Main Library which was originally constructed in 1958 consisted of both an interior renovation and an expansion. The renovation to the existing historic structure included seismic, accessibility, and systems upgrades as well as minor expansions and reconfigurations. In addition, a detached building of approximately 4,500 Sf was constructed to the existing approximately 30,000 Sf facility.
