Scope Of Work
The 180th Street Station involved the historic restoration of the administration building and the renovation of an above ground station and new RTO building exterior above tracks. Installation of two elevators for ADA compliant, electrical power upgrade, signal modification as well as installation of four track edges, replacement of tracks, platform sections and platform canopies. The station remained fully operational throughout the entire construction.
Description of scope of work
General Contractor responsible for supervising all of the trades. Citnalta oversaw and/ or performed 100 percent of the contract work. The work included selective demolition of the façade and plaster. Citnalta performed staged demolition and erected a sidewalk bridge and safe zone by creating a tunnel for the passengers so that they wouldn’t be inconvenienced during the construction of skylight above mezzanine area, relocation of agent booth and fare array, installation of two elevators and wheel chair ramp for ADA compliant. The work included restoring or replacing the stucco plaster, terracotta copper and clay tile roofs of the 100 year administrative building.
