Scott Pray's lineage in the D.F. Pray tradition, traces back to the company's founding, when his father, C. Edward Pray and his partners, founded the company in 1959.
He was first initiated to the industry as an apprentice carpenter in 1974, working his way through the field ranks as lead man, foreman, superintendent, and project
manager. In 1982, Scott left Bentley College due to a family illness (uncle Charlie Dermody, the 'D' in D.F. Pray), and joined the management staff as a Sales
Representative for CT and RI. In 1985, he was promoted to Vice President of Operations and subsequently, as Executive Vice President of Sales in 1986. In 1987, Scott
succeeded his father as President of D.F. Pray, continuing a tradition of quality field operations. A devoted philanthropist, Pray is passionate about expending his
time and energy on causes that mean the most to him, through the Pray Family Foundation.
