Scope Of Work

The Ringgold Middle School project in Ringgold, Ga., involves the design of a new eighth-grade wing after a tornado destroyed sections and damaged others of the school in 2011. Though initially on a 12-month schedule, the project schedule was reduced to eight months. The project consists of the demolition of part of the existing school and the construction of a larger addition to the school on the same site where the demolished section once stood. The rebuilding of the eighth-grade wing eliminates the need for temporary relocation of the students to a nearby high school. With classes in session during construction activity, the EMJ team rebuilds the eighth-grade wing, renovates the existing school floor, and installs a new sprinkler system, as it also ensures the safety of students, teachers, and parents.
