Our Story
Corman Kokosing Construction Company is a private heavy civil construction organization based in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. Since our founding in 1920 as a family-owned asphalt and concrete paving company in Washington, DC, Corman has transformed into a heavy civil construction industry leader throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
Corman specializes in bridge, highway, water and sewer, underground utilities, tunnel and marine construction. Our capabilities include constructing large highway and bridge projects, such as the Telegraph Road Interchange with I-95 in Virginia to the award-winning Intercounty Connector in Maryland. We have unique capabilities with restoring historic structures, such as the 1834 Catoctin Aqueduct on the C&O Canal and the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. Our utility and underground group constructed some of the most complex projects in the DC Water Clean Rivers program. Our marine capabilities include mechanical dredging and pile driving work throughout the Chesapeake Bay region. We provide innovation, expertise, and experience that completes projects on time and on budget.
Soon approaching our 100th year, Corman continues to foster growth through advanced construction techniques, cutting-edge technology, and a firm commitment as a Best in Class contractor by adhering to core values, such as quality, safety, and teamwork.
