Scope Of Work
Construction of a 2.2 MGD pH neutralization system built to control the large pH range of the plant effluent, pH 2-13. This included a 25’ deep epoxy lined cast-in-place wet well with dual 2000gpm SST submersible pumps, which moved the effluent into two 200,000 gallon neutralization tanks. Multiple new chemical dosing pumps supplied the acid/bases to neutralize the effluent before it entered the city sewer system. The effluent was moved through all SST pipe above ground and fusion welded HDPE below ground. A fully containerized MMC room was set by crane and anchored on its own slab.
Concurrently with the pH Neutralization system a new Truck Scale system was constructed. Three new, 10’x70’, at grade truck scales were constructed to optimize inflow of dairy trucks. The job included a two-story CMU building, housing security and the sampling laboratory. A pre-manufactured catwalk system, including access platforms to the tops of the dairy trucks, was built to quickly sample each dairy truck. A large metal structure with standing seam roof was included.
